Same Set

Hye.

I know this entry is late but nonetheless, I still wanna thank these people for actually making me happy. :) I turned 28 years old (Alhamdulillah) not too long ago. No celebration took place as I had my hands full with my baby. Plus My Darling wasn't around. So kau nak aku celebrate sorang2, memang tak la kan? Hmm. That reminds me, my Darling still owes me a birthday dinner!

OK. I usually don't get a lot of birthday gifts. Those who usually make an effort to get me a present are usually the same set of people. Special individuals that matter, btw. :) So, this year is pretty much the same. Here's a list of birthday gift I got from my lovelies. Thanks a lot! Love you.

iPod Shuffle (the green one)

Longchamp Le Pliage Medium Tote

Bobbi Brown Compact Powder

The iPod is from my Darling. You know how I go on and on about my weight problem? I have been putting off jogging as I couldn't find my iPod anywhere (yes, I need my iPod when I jog). Hence, the new shuffle is presented. Hehe. Tapi skang puasa la pulak kn. So, tak jog jugak. Hahaha.

The bag is supposed to be a birthday gift from yours truly but it was stolen by my Darling jugak. So aku ok je la kan. :D Oh, Sasa and Aritha bought the same bag too. Boleh jadi Le Pliage angels pulak lepas ni. Hehe.

The last one is from Aritha and Sasa. This gift is truly a life-saver. With my current skin condition, I really need this. Unless if I plan to scare the whole office off lah! Thanks babes. :)

Tu je la hadiah birthday aku tahun ni. Not much but then again, like I said earlier, they are all gifts that I love, from the people that I love, too.

Bye.

Another Milestone

Hye.

My baby boy turned 4 months last Tuesday. His current obsession (besides drooling like nobody's business) is trying to roll over on his tummy. I was kinda waiting for him to do so actually, and he decided to do it on the day he turned 4 months old. So, yet another milestone achieved. Alhamdulillah.

Bye.

Just Because

Hye.

I don't categorize myself as having lots of friends. I am a firm believer of quality instead of quantity (you can shoot me now if you like :p). But really, I am. I could probably count those I considered (real close) friends with one (or probably both) hands. Today, just because it's Friday (haha!), I wanna talk about the people I love so much. People that I don't think I can't live without. People that I truly appreciate. People that I consider family. :)

As you all know, I am stuck here in Bintulu for quite a while now. Since I got back from my maternity leave (about 7 weeks ago), I haven't been back in KL. This is probably the longest I have stayed in and I can't say that it is not affecting me. I have my baby, my mom and my Darling of course, but still, I need Bobbi Brown. :p I think you might notice in my previous entry, I mentioned that I have ran out of some stuffs. It was so hard trying to obtain those thing. To make it worse, they only sell it at certain places. My sisters were both too busy to help. Not to mention the fact that my Darling's going back to KL but will have NO time to do the shopping for me. I was kinda down. Felt a bit helpless until Aritha came along. :D :D :D She, despite having to take care of her baby (who's about the same age as Aryan), offered to lend a helping hand. It might be something small to her, but I really appreciate what she's done for me and I am here to tell her just that. You have no idea how much happier you've made me just by getting me those Bobbi Browns. And this was just one of the littlest things she did for yours truly. Kalau nk tulis suma, mmg panjang la kn. :) Papepun, glad to have you as part of my life.

I came from a small family. My father's an only child and I had (only) 5 cousins on my mother's side. And that's about it. So when I did my wedding at home, I was faced with the greatest challenge, manpower. Thank God for Elmi though. She was there working her ass off. Cleaning, vacuuming and keeping yours truly company of course. :) I couldn't thank her enough for what she did. Even my mom kept on mentioning 'Nak masuk minang pun ada sorang ja anak jantan'. Haha. Boleh? But jokes aside, she really was of the kindest soul I've ever met. I couldn't really imagine what my life would be like without her. I am now waiting for the day to return the favour to her. So Emi, cepat la kahwin! :p

Although I talk about how it kills me not to be able to easily get hold of my Bobbi Brown stuffs, I am not an expert on makeup. I'd love to do more but for now, powder and (some occasional) blush will have to do. But, I do have a person who without fail, will always entertain me when it comes to it. I think Shasha knows that I am more talk than action. Haha. But still, she's over-flowing with tips and what nots. I rant about my makeup concerns all the time with her. Not once has she turned her back on me. In fact, she even got me a gift that would somehow help me pull the look I've been dying to achieve. Shasha, the day I pull off the smokey eye look, I shall channel all my thanks to you! :)

There. The three amazing souls I am very thankful for. Love you girls!

p/s : this post is making me miss them all. :(

Bye.

Friends In Common

Hye.

I have recently deactivated my friendster account. Reason being, I hardly ever go there anymore. Plus, when I was actively keeping in touch with friends on friendster, I was naive enough to approve friend requests from people I don't know. Konon bangga ada ramai kawan. Bongok kan. To some, it might be OK to approve total strangers but I just realized that it is kinda dangerous for us, especially girls (matila ngaku kanak2) to do so. Anyway, I am on Facebook now, smarter and more careful. :)

I know some of us tend to approve (strangers') requests for permission to view our profile, photos and what not oblivious to the fact that there are a lot of psycopaths and perverts out there. What seem to be an innocent pose by your car or in front of your house could be quite costly. Majority of us do not realize that most photos that we uploaded are revealing some thing about us. Not to mention those on 4sq. *hi diri sendiri* So I advise, choose wisely. Tayah la nak bangga ada kawan sampai 6987 orang kalau kau kenal 5 orang je out of the bunch. It's better to have 5 friends you really keep in touch with and know personally rather than have 6987 strangers in your list. Besides, you don't call people you don't know friends right?

When it comes to approving friend requests, I always look at the friends in common that I might have with the requestor. If I don't have any, I will just decline. I am not interested to know what you do with your life. Sorry. Lagi lagi kalau kau jenis update status tetiap 5 minit. Pastu 'like' SEMUA status kau sendiri. Memang boleh buat aku tarik rambut aku dan boss aku (eh ttiba cari alasan nk tarik rambut boss). So to avoid that, I just don't approve people I don't know. Tapi kadang2 ada friends in common pun aku tak kenal or lupa jugak. Haha.

Anyway, please don't call me a snob for not approving your friend request. I just don't feel like sharing (part of) my life with you, simply because you're not a friend to me.

And oh satu lagi, aku adalah paling malas nak search for friends on the network. I rarely send out friend request to others. Unless you were suggested by someone or by facebook itself. Ye, saya pemalas. :p

Event of The Year

Hye.

I am in the midst of planning for Aryan's aqiqah. The tentative date has been set. We are doing it in the month of Syawal, insyaAllah. *excited* Terasa macam tengah plan event of the year pulak. Hehe.

I haven't done anything much. Just googling here and there for his cradle. Found quite a few interesting ones. Unfortunately most of them had to turn me down due to the date. Raya kan. Orang pun nak cuti lama. Anyway, just to share on some of the cradles that I found online.

Cantik kan? I personally like the third and the last one. Simple and elegant. Tak perlu rimbun bagai la. Kang orang cari anak aku tak jumpa pulak. :p Most of the pictures are taken from Cradle 'N' All. They specialize in majlis aqiqah and cukur jambul. But unfortunately for me, they are based in KL and Aryan's aqiqah will be in Penang. Hmm. OK lah.

Postpartum Depression?

Hye.

I am tired. I feel so useless. Clearly, I am unhappy right now and people around me, they are not much of a help. I wish people in the office would stop passing remark about how tired (and fat) I looked. My dark circle, my muffin top, bla bla bla. Macam la aku xtau kn? Penat nya~

I am so irritable nowadays, I hate myself. This post clearly is going nowhere. I want to rant but I don't even have the energy. Could I be PMS-ing? Or is this postpartum depression? (Over kan?) Hmm. I just wish you'd understand, of all people, I really just wish YOU would.

p/s : ingat nk amek title Aritha as HOT MAMA tapi tak mampu

Bye.

Kelabu Asap

Hye.

Not too long ago I posted something about what I needed (or wanted). Since I had Aryan, I couldn't really stop thinking about tonnes of things I'd like to shower him with. Hehe. So here's some of the things I'd like him to have for now...

Fisher Price Rainforest Gym

Fisher Price Music Mobile

Blossom Farm Sit Me Up Cosy

The first item, I have been eyeing for quite sometime but haven't really gotten myself to the purchasing part. I am not sure what is holding me back. Probably because we have one (sad-looking) play gym already in the house. Having said that, some might ask why then do I need another one? Well, it really is an eye sore OK. Buruk la play gym tu. Especially after my mom tossed the mat into the washing machine. Terus jadi kelabu asap. Haha.

The music mobile was not in the list of things I wanted to get my baby. This was suggested by My Darling. No objection from me as it can hopefully help Aryan fall asleep on his own. Matila pemalas nak tido kan anak sendiri. :p

Thanks to Mami Ayin (my elder sister), I have managed to get the Sit Me Up Cosy for my baby. I'm just waiting for it to arrive here in Bintulu. :) Can't wait to see how excited my baby will be when he sees this.

About the other 2, I am contemplating whether to get it online or wait till we go back for our Raya holidays. I think the latter is not a good idea as we might not have so much space to transport the things. Ye la kan. Balik raya tu confirm banyak barang nk diangkut balik ke Bintulu semula. Nevermind. Will probably get it online from Little Whiz or something.

Bye.
