Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

Hye.

Today is my son's 2nd birthday. How time flies. :) We had a small celebration last weekend in good old Bintulu. Both my sisters came to surprise my mom who's staying with me for the time being. I am so glad they came. Nothing beats having family around. Always good company.

As usual, I have to be the super-ambitious mommy that wants to do everything for her son's birthday. I just wanted to make it as memorable and fun as possible (forgetting the fact that he is only two!). Actually ada rasa bersalah sbb x blk semenanjung utk celebrate birthday, so I decided to bake him his birthday cake. You see as weird as it may sound, my boy doesn't like anything with chocolate. He will literally gag if you make him eat anything chocolatey. Not sure why. Tapiiii, I have already ordered one moist chocolate cake for his birthday. Terlupa. :) Jadi, project baking pun bermula. Cake apa yg I buat? Red velvet uols! Sbb the last time I made rv cupcakes, he ate quite a number of them. And even this time around, it's still his fave.

Besides the rv cake, someone (read : my darling) requested for rv cupcakes pulak. So buat la cupcakes jugak. Untuk memuaskan hati semua orang (read : diri sendiri), I made spaghetti aglio olio and also bread pudding. Mcm byk je kan, tp xde la byk mana pun sbb dh cater nasi beriyani and roti jala. Pastu KFC pun ada. All in all it was a good party sebab makanan xde la berlebih sangat. Ahamdulillah, turn out was good. Cuma org tanya kenapa ada dua cake? So aku jwb sbb anak aku 2 thn. :p

Anyway, I have yet to transfer photos of the party into my laptop. Not quite sure when I am going to do it. :p Just wait and see. Meanwhile, here's a pic of me and my little hero on his 2nd birthday. Nak amek skali dgn adik dia, dia x bg. Kuat jealous ini orang. Apa2 pun, love you baby boy. Be good ok. Happy birthday! :)

Bye!

P/S : Budak ni sgt la malu, time org ramai sing birthday song, dia sebuk tonyoh muka dia kt ketiak aku. Time aku nyanyi sorg pun sama. Apa yg dia malu sgt xtau la. Mungkin dia ikut mak dia la kot kan. Pemalu. Eh.

Berangan Lebeh

Hye.

Arini (arini je ke??) mode berangan. I so wish I could have (one of) these handbags. Will definitely work towards acquiring them. :)

Chanel GST

Ini memamg bag idaman kalbu. Dah setahun aku canang nak bag ni but still can't afford to buy it yet. I am actually saving up for this piece. Hopefully God will grant me a long life so that sempat aku beli and pakai bag ni. Amin. :)

Salavatore Ferragamo Sofia Bag

This bag just caught my eyes when I was browsing through SF's website. Lovely. Checked it out (a different version of Sofia bag) at the outlet in KLCC, and almost fainted when the SA told me how much it costs. Nonetheless, will work hard for this one, too. Oh btw, Jennifer Aniston carried this bag (in black) in the movie Bounty Hunter. *drooling over the handbag and also Gerard Butler*
Anya Hindmarch Maeve Tote

This bag I just like because of its size. If you noticed, most of my bags are kinda big. It's because nowadays, it's easier to travel with a big handbag that can fit my baby's stuff as well. Ala2 mini diaper bag. This one I didn't see displayed when I went to the Anya Hindmarch sale last month. Not sure why though.

Gucci Craft Medium Tote

Isn't this bag simple and classy? Wanted to have one Gucci in my possession (insyaAllah) and I am just in love with its simplicity and its colour.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Francessca Hobo

This bag was not originally in my list but when I saw it being displayed at the outlet in Pavilion, I just kinda fell in love with it. Not loving the colour in the pic above but it does come in a few other colours. I just couldn't find a decent enough pic on google. The one in mustard is so tempting!

Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 Idylle

This bag is not so high in the wish list because according to some people, there are a lot of replicas out there. And by a lot they really meant A LOT. But if I were to buy a bag from this brand, it has to be this. Classic and nothing else.

*All pics credit to google*

p/s : ni entry suka2 sahaja. bukan nak menunjuk ok. satu bag pun aku x beli lagi. mungkin xkn beli langsung pun kot. haha. berangan lebeh. :p

Bye.

Konfiden

Hye.

My Darling and I, together with Aryan visited a friend who just gave birth to a baby boy. So I was talking to the mother and my Darling was talking to the father. Suddenly...

MD : Aming, dia (the baby's father) cakap Adam tak bangun malam minum susu pun.
YT : Eh, bangun la. Every 2 hours dia (the baby's mother) cakap.
BM : A ah. Tapi dia tak nangis la. (ni assurance from the baby's mother)
BF : Ohh. Aku la yang tak bangun rupanya. *gelak besar*

Boleh? Konfiden kau cakap anak kau tak bangun malam padahal kau yang tido tak sedarkan diri.

Bye.

0 Calorie

Hye.

Inspired by Aritha's entry on Asam Laksa, I just thought of sharing a recipe I got from my Darling's aunty. Spaghetti Alfredo kot. Tak kisah la apa2, janji sedap. And aku rasa paling senang la. Yang recipe Aritha cakap easy peasy tu pun aku rasa susah. Haha. Ni super easy peasy. :p

OK. Ingredients as per pics below. Please don't ask me why if any of them look weird to you. I google sajor. *pics credit to google*

spaghetti

First thing first, you'd need to boil some water and toss the spaghetti into the boiling water until it is soft enough. Sieve it and put in some butter to make sure that it doesn't stick to each other and will come out all nice in its individual strips. Put that aside.

brocolli and cauliflower

chicken

prawns

cili padi *aku dh ckp jgn tny..aku xtau nape dia kaler pepel*

onions and garlic

button mushroom

butter *xde la sebuku ni ye*

prego cheese & herbs pasta sauce

leggo's alfredo pasta sauce

milk (fresh, full cream or low fat is fine)

oregano

On to the gravy. Put in the butter. Once it melts, put in the chopped onions, garlic and cili padi. When the cili padi dah masak, masuk the chicken and prawns. Goreng la sampai kau puas hati dan wangi. Jangan sampai hangus sudah. :) Then pour in the prego and leggos sauce together with some milk. When it comes to a simmer, put in your mushroom, cauliflower and broccoli. Let it boil for a while. Bukan sampai kering ok. Lepas tu, sprinkle some oregano and voila. Selamat menikmati hidangan 0 calorie ini! :D

Bye.

Wait Ah

Hye.

This is just an entry for me to remember the day Aryan came into this world. :) Just bits and pieces that I can still remember. Quite a lenghty post though. Read on only if you can bear with me.

Week 37 (awal gila start birth story aku ni :p)
I noticed some blood trace in my urine. I thought it came from a cut I might have gotten myself while shaving earlier. *shy* Told my mom and she panicked a little. Suruh aku call adik aku balik dengan kadar segera macam aku dah nk deliver dan2 tu. My state of mind at that point of time, super-confused. Called my Darling to inform him.

We went to the hospital with my sis. Saw the doctor and she sent me to the labour room to do CTG. NO CONTRACTION at all. Checked my opening. 2cm dilated already. Hmm. Before sending me home, she said that I should be ready to deliver anytime. Tapi buat masa tu, I was sent home. False alarm la kiranya. Haha!

Week 38
Baby's movement was slow. I started to panic a little. So I went to the hospital to get assurance. Doctor checked and baby was fine. I was sent to do CTG again. Very very mild contraction that's quite far apart. Like once in 30 minutes kot. I didn't feel it. So I was scheduled to see her a week after. But the doctor was sure I was going to deliver before my next appointment. :)

Week 39 (The DAY)
My Darling flew back from Sarawak earlier this week. One Friday morning, after sending my brother off to the airport, we (My Darling, my parents and I) had breakfast somewhere near my house. We went to Queensbay after to buy some stuff. Came back to find there was blood stain again. Called the doctor and she told me to come to the hospital as soon as I can. So after my mom finished her lunch-cooking (soon la sangat kan), we ate and we went off (after the nurse called 3 times asking where we were. hehe.). Time tu dah rasa sakit skit.

Arrived at the hospital and the nurse took me straight to admission. Damn. Then the feeling started sinking in. I am going to give birth soon!! Dan2 nervous. After my Darling settled the admission, I was asked to go to the labour room to do CTG. And finally, ada contraction. Tapi still tak rasa sangat. Doctor decided that if I do not deliver by tonight, she will induce me.

Come 7pm, I was already timing my contraction. It wasn't that intense, but it wasn't that far apart either. By 1am, I was curling on my bed in the maternity ward battling against the contractions alone. My Darling was fast asleep. I couldn't sleep. Sakit ok. At 3am, I couldn't stand the pain and decided to call the nurse to tell her that I am in pain. Until today, I regretted calling her. She did a VE on me and it was so painful. Terangkat bontot ok. Benci. She kept on telling me ,'lambat lagi ni' and asked me to get some sleep. About half an hour later, she came to set-up the CTG machine. Time ni my Darling was awake and he was looking at the contraction graph, telling me my reading and what not. Hehe.

I got to sleep for abour an hour that night. When I woke up at 8am, they asked me to take my breakfast. Mana dapat makan. Sakit nak mampus dah time ni. Tapi I took some porridge nonetheless. Like 2-3 mulut kot. The doctor came and did what she was supposed to do. I can't remember what she did. She told me to take a bath and walk around. I'd probably be delivering at 2pm today. I was like 2pm??? Matila lambat lagi.

At around 10.30am, the doctor came to help break my water bag. I thought the contractions I had before was bad, the ones that came after the water bag burst was worse. I was practically lying on my side, curling while holding on to the railing at the side of the bed. I didn't want anyone to touch me. Not even the nurse or the anesthetist (yes, i took epidural and pls don't judge me because i was in labour for 12 hours okkkk).

Anyway, at about 12pm, the pain was not going away. Even with the epi that I was given. Weird. While I was battling the contractions, I could feel something swimming downwards, literally. I told the nurse, 'I think the baby is coming. I feel something down there.' The nurse performed another VE on me and she said I am ready. 'Wah. So fast. You are ready to deliver. I call Doctor Maha now. Wait ah.' I was like, wth? Wait? Tapi dalam sekelip mata aku dah dikangkang, katil aku dh tinggal separuh, and doctor pun dah sampai. Just like magic. Haha.

So the pushing took about 15-20 minutes and out came my handsome little prince. :) The hardest part was getting his head out of my you-know-what. I had to push 3-4 times before I managed to do it. After that, with a single push, his whole body was out. And aku pun muntah dengan banyak nya. Sebelah tangan breastfeed, sebelah tangan pegang bucket tahan muntah. Boleh? Please don't ask me why. Probably the epi. Lepas tu aku pun tido dengan banyaknya. :D

Oh I forgot to tell you some thing quite funny. You know some people are just scared of blood, needles and such? Well, my Darling is one of them people. But nonetheless, he was by my side all the time, putting his fears aside. *_* So when the anesthetist was trying to give me the epidural, he was telling me that he wanted to call his mom. Tak benti2 ulang,'I nak keluar call mak kejap eh.' Bengang la aku time tu. Aku dok sakit, kau sebuk nk kuar tepon mak kau tak pasal2 kenapa. Tapi aku cakap OK jugak la. Baik tak aku? Haha. It was only after the delivery that I learned that he was scared of the needle the anesthetist used on me. He was trying hard not to faint. Hahaha. And after I said, 'OK, pergi la' he went to lie down on my bed in the maternity ward where my mom was waiting. Ayat yang dia ulang kat mak aku, 'Nak pengsan la kami tengok aming.' Kesian kan. Nak pengsan rupanya Darling ku itu. Tapi alasan tak tahan. Nak call mak konon. :p

So there. Aryan's birth story. Finally. :)

2 days old *time ni kuat tdo, skarang hmmmm*

p/s : Selamat Hari Raya Haji!

Bye.

Chubby Baby

Hye.

Should I travel to KL alone with my LO? Sigh. I will be having a one-day meeting in KL end November and I am having trouble deciding whether to leave him or bring him along. It's not quite and easy decision to make you see. If I bring him, I'd have to bring my mom along. Who else is gonna look after him while I attend my meeting? At first, it came across as a good idea; leaving him with my SIL's maid. But then I am worried that the maid won't be able to handle my baby alongside 2 other toddlers. They could be a handful. Aryan alone can be a handful. Hehe. Kang tak pasal2 maid tu mintak balik Indon awal plak kan? Besides, transportation can be a problem. How am I to commute from my SIL's place to the meeting venue? And I am not even sure where the meeting is going to be at.

I can just bring my mom along and save myself all the agony (ngada2 la kan, agony konon) , buttttt I don't grow money on trees. The last time I went back for a 1-week course, I ended up spending a thousand ringgit for my mom's ticket alone. Masa tu tutup mata je la kan. I just had to. No choice. But now, for a day, I should be able to leave him behind right?

I am not worried so much about leaving him under my mom's care. It's the silly thoughts in my head that I can't get rid off. Will he cry in the middle of the night if he can't find me? Will he forget me? Will he still be excited to hear my voice after not seeing me for 2 days? Will My Darling refuse to let him sleep with my mom? (ni paling risau sbb My Darling adalah tido mati tapi stok tanak mengaku. nanti anak nangis sampai biru dia x sedar2 jugak cemana? over la aku. eh panjang pulak ayat dlm bracket ni. ok bye.)

Damn. I am sure Aryan will be fine. Aku yang overly attached to him. How can I not be? Just look at my chubby baby!

I AM NOT JUSTIN BIEBER *tgk tang hidung org dh tau*

Bye.

Whatever

Hye.

This post has no one specific story. I just felt like blabbing whatever today. Too full too work.

OK. So I was back in KL last week. Had the chance to meet up with all my besties. Best gila. Especially when I met Aritha and Shasha. Try kasut harga RM600 (after less ok) sampai kaki berdarah. Over kan? :p Pastu siap muka tak malu habiskan red velvet cake yg tinggal satu slice tu. Duduk borak lama, try itu ini, tanya itu ini, last2 keluar camtu je. But nonetheless, I had fun. It was a short meet but it was worth it. :)

Oh I am probably going to Singapore end of this year. I haven't gotten around planning for it properly yet. Too lazy. I don't even know where to start. I should delegate this one task to My Darling perhaps. Hehe.

A quick update on my 7-month-old baby. He has been crawling around the house and is now trying to pull himself up any chance he gets. Of course he can't actually walk or stand (without support) yet, but he only stops trying when he's asleep. Seriously. Penat ok. Kalau tak, takde la orang tu letak anak dia dalam kotak kan? *hi Aritha* On food, he has been given solids about a month ago. So far he has not shown any preference over food fed to him which is good. For me la kan. Ni kira suma benda aku telan punya kes la. Senang la mak dia. :)

OK lah. Nak pegi toilet.

Bye.

This Is A Rant Post

WARNING : This is a rant post!

I am so tense right now I feel like crying (Wait, I am already crying).

I hope the maid agent would pick up my call before I buy myself a ticket to Jakarta just to slap her on the face.

I wish MAS would reduce their airfare so that I won't have to think 5 days before buying a stupid ticket back to KL.

I am cursing the Project Managers for going on leave and letting me decide on how to phase their bloody budget.

I regret buying my current bedroom set because the closet can't afford to hide clothes and pants I don't fit.

I feel like becoming a SAHM so that I won't need necessary stress when dealing with the maid agent (again).

I wish my housemate didn't dump her dirty dishes in the sink leaving my mom nagging at me early in the morning.

I think my weighing scale has some thing against me.

I hope Yayan and My Darling were right here so that I can stop crying. :(

Dahi Luas

Hye.

Conversation between my mom and I after a few people kept passing the same remark about my baby's hairline.

Me : Ma, betoi ka kalau dahi luas tu cerdik?
Mom : Tak tau la. Orang dulu suka mempositifkan yang negatif. Nak sedap kan hati> Kalau tak, tak dak orang nak dahi luas.

Boleh tak mak aku ni? Tak memberangsangkan langsung jawapan dia.

Same Set

Hye.

I know this entry is late but nonetheless, I still wanna thank these people for actually making me happy. :) I turned 28 years old (Alhamdulillah) not too long ago. No celebration took place as I had my hands full with my baby. Plus My Darling wasn't around. So kau nak aku celebrate sorang2, memang tak la kan? Hmm. That reminds me, my Darling still owes me a birthday dinner!

OK. I usually don't get a lot of birthday gifts. Those who usually make an effort to get me a present are usually the same set of people. Special individuals that matter, btw. :) So, this year is pretty much the same. Here's a list of birthday gift I got from my lovelies. Thanks a lot! Love you.

iPod Shuffle (the green one)

Longchamp Le Pliage Medium Tote

Bobbi Brown Compact Powder

The iPod is from my Darling. You know how I go on and on about my weight problem? I have been putting off jogging as I couldn't find my iPod anywhere (yes, I need my iPod when I jog). Hence, the new shuffle is presented. Hehe. Tapi skang puasa la pulak kn. So, tak jog jugak. Hahaha.

The bag is supposed to be a birthday gift from yours truly but it was stolen by my Darling jugak. So aku ok je la kan. :D Oh, Sasa and Aritha bought the same bag too. Boleh jadi Le Pliage angels pulak lepas ni. Hehe.

The last one is from Aritha and Sasa. This gift is truly a life-saver. With my current skin condition, I really need this. Unless if I plan to scare the whole office off lah! Thanks babes. :)

Tu je la hadiah birthday aku tahun ni. Not much but then again, like I said earlier, they are all gifts that I love, from the people that I love, too.

Bye.

Another Milestone

Hye.

My baby boy turned 4 months last Tuesday. His current obsession (besides drooling like nobody's business) is trying to roll over on his tummy. I was kinda waiting for him to do so actually, and he decided to do it on the day he turned 4 months old. So, yet another milestone achieved. Alhamdulillah.

Bye.

Just Because

Hye.

I don't categorize myself as having lots of friends. I am a firm believer of quality instead of quantity (you can shoot me now if you like :p). But really, I am. I could probably count those I considered (real close) friends with one (or probably both) hands. Today, just because it's Friday (haha!), I wanna talk about the people I love so much. People that I don't think I can't live without. People that I truly appreciate. People that I consider family. :)

As you all know, I am stuck here in Bintulu for quite a while now. Since I got back from my maternity leave (about 7 weeks ago), I haven't been back in KL. This is probably the longest I have stayed in and I can't say that it is not affecting me. I have my baby, my mom and my Darling of course, but still, I need Bobbi Brown. :p I think you might notice in my previous entry, I mentioned that I have ran out of some stuffs. It was so hard trying to obtain those thing. To make it worse, they only sell it at certain places. My sisters were both too busy to help. Not to mention the fact that my Darling's going back to KL but will have NO time to do the shopping for me. I was kinda down. Felt a bit helpless until Aritha came along. :D :D :D She, despite having to take care of her baby (who's about the same age as Aryan), offered to lend a helping hand. It might be something small to her, but I really appreciate what she's done for me and I am here to tell her just that. You have no idea how much happier you've made me just by getting me those Bobbi Browns. And this was just one of the littlest things she did for yours truly. Kalau nk tulis suma, mmg panjang la kn. :) Papepun, glad to have you as part of my life.

I came from a small family. My father's an only child and I had (only) 5 cousins on my mother's side. And that's about it. So when I did my wedding at home, I was faced with the greatest challenge, manpower. Thank God for Elmi though. She was there working her ass off. Cleaning, vacuuming and keeping yours truly company of course. :) I couldn't thank her enough for what she did. Even my mom kept on mentioning 'Nak masuk minang pun ada sorang ja anak jantan'. Haha. Boleh? But jokes aside, she really was of the kindest soul I've ever met. I couldn't really imagine what my life would be like without her. I am now waiting for the day to return the favour to her. So Emi, cepat la kahwin! :p

Although I talk about how it kills me not to be able to easily get hold of my Bobbi Brown stuffs, I am not an expert on makeup. I'd love to do more but for now, powder and (some occasional) blush will have to do. But, I do have a person who without fail, will always entertain me when it comes to it. I think Shasha knows that I am more talk than action. Haha. But still, she's over-flowing with tips and what nots. I rant about my makeup concerns all the time with her. Not once has she turned her back on me. In fact, she even got me a gift that would somehow help me pull the look I've been dying to achieve. Shasha, the day I pull off the smokey eye look, I shall channel all my thanks to you! :)

There. The three amazing souls I am very thankful for. Love you girls!

p/s : this post is making me miss them all. :(

Bye.

Friends In Common

Hye.

I have recently deactivated my friendster account. Reason being, I hardly ever go there anymore. Plus, when I was actively keeping in touch with friends on friendster, I was naive enough to approve friend requests from people I don't know. Konon bangga ada ramai kawan. Bongok kan. To some, it might be OK to approve total strangers but I just realized that it is kinda dangerous for us, especially girls (matila ngaku kanak2) to do so. Anyway, I am on Facebook now, smarter and more careful. :)

I know some of us tend to approve (strangers') requests for permission to view our profile, photos and what not oblivious to the fact that there are a lot of psycopaths and perverts out there. What seem to be an innocent pose by your car or in front of your house could be quite costly. Majority of us do not realize that most photos that we uploaded are revealing some thing about us. Not to mention those on 4sq. *hi diri sendiri* So I advise, choose wisely. Tayah la nak bangga ada kawan sampai 6987 orang kalau kau kenal 5 orang je out of the bunch. It's better to have 5 friends you really keep in touch with and know personally rather than have 6987 strangers in your list. Besides, you don't call people you don't know friends right?

When it comes to approving friend requests, I always look at the friends in common that I might have with the requestor. If I don't have any, I will just decline. I am not interested to know what you do with your life. Sorry. Lagi lagi kalau kau jenis update status tetiap 5 minit. Pastu 'like' SEMUA status kau sendiri. Memang boleh buat aku tarik rambut aku dan boss aku (eh ttiba cari alasan nk tarik rambut boss). So to avoid that, I just don't approve people I don't know. Tapi kadang2 ada friends in common pun aku tak kenal or lupa jugak. Haha.

Anyway, please don't call me a snob for not approving your friend request. I just don't feel like sharing (part of) my life with you, simply because you're not a friend to me.

And oh satu lagi, aku adalah paling malas nak search for friends on the network. I rarely send out friend request to others. Unless you were suggested by someone or by facebook itself. Ye, saya pemalas. :p

Bye.
