I Am Hungry

I don’t know what’s wrong with the server today, but I was wasting time trying to upload some pictures from TheDepartment’s Awayday. Results, sampe skang x dpt. So malas nk try lagi. Maybe I will upload them next time (yelah tu).

Anyway, the past couple of weeks have been quite stressful for me. And today, I’m going back to Penang. Hanya untuk meminta kebenaran bernikah. Hmm. Harap2 everything will go smoothly. I really don’t think I can take it if things ‘have’ to change because of some people. Right now, I feel so pressured by those around me. PMS kot. Nvm. I’m trying hard to stay positive. Hopefully things will be better once I’m home. :)

As usual, the trips back to Penang or KL never mean free time for me and my Darling to do what we like. As of late, that is. It’s always been about taking care of wedding business. Our wedding business, of course. Remember about the wrong printing on our invitation cards? Well, the re-printed bunch have been ready for pick-up for quite a while now. I was supposed to go back earlier but things got ‘messy’ at work that I had to postpone my trip. So anyway, can’t wait to see the beautiful cards (walaupun risau jugak takut ada slh lagi). Doakan saya ye kawan2. :D

Some other things we need to do are meet up with the photographer for the Penang’s ceremonies (berinai, bertunang, bernikah) and the videographer. I really really really hope I will be able to catch a movie this time around (matila ttibe kuar topic). It’s almost May and this year, I haven’t been to a single movie outing! :(

Btw, I know this has nothing to do with anything at all but I am hungry. Bye.

p/s : Looking forward to the upcoming Febeles’ gathering at Delicious on Labour Day! Yippieee…

To Buy Or Not To Buy

I am sooooo in love with this pair of wedges. I really forgot where I took this pic from. These really match the handbag that the Febeles got me for my birthday last year. But I was browsing through their (COACH's) website earlier today and didn't see these in there. Aritha, tlg? :D

Tapi kn, kalau ade pun, should I get it? I'm contemplating actually (given the financial state I'm in right now). Hmm. To buy or not to buy? Cari dulu la kan? Besides, credit card kan ade? :p

p/s : Yours truly will be going to Miri for 3 days for TheDepartment's Awayday. Pray for my safety lovelies. Toodles~

Nervous

Hello! How are you lovely peeps doing? I am actually doing OK. My Darling just got back from a 2-week MC. He had his appendix removed a while ago. Alhamdulillah everything went well. He’s on his way to recovery right now. Hopefully it will be a speedy one. Kalau x, xleh honeymoon nnt (ni mama aku ckp, bkn aku). :p

So, what am I gonna blab about today? A lot happened during the time I was silent actually. I moved into a new house last week. It was so tiring. One of my housemates was not around. My Darling was not around. Tinggal la aku dgn housemate aku sorg lagi tu bekerja keras membanting tulang mengangkat barang. It was really exhausting. But now I am relieved. I don’t plan to move anywhere else anytime soon. Everything in the house is pretty much in place. The only thing now is to wait for my Darling to move in with us (yes, I have 2 other housemates with me). Can’t wait! :D

OK, enough about the new house. It’s settled. Let’s talk about my wedding preparation. I think I have mentioned in one of the previous entries that for the reception in KL, everything’s practically confirmed. Tunggu nk bersanding je. I will be going back during Wesak for the fitting session. I’m actually quite nervous about the whole dress thingy. It’s because we decided to do it differently (with different theme and all that) the last time we went to take our measurements. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that Man Kajang will not fail me since the whole change was his idea. :)

The preparation in Penang is still ongoing. A lot still needs to be done in terms of getting the house ready. All the other things like my Dais, the decorations and what not has already been confirmed and taken care of by our wonderful wedding planner Wan. Thank God for him. :D Right now, my mum is working hard in making sure that come THE day, our house will be all set for the ceremony. She calls me everyday to let me know of the updates. Hehe. I always scare her by reminding her that she has less than 2 months to make sure everything is perfect. :p

That so reminds me that I need to confirm the dessert cuppies during my solemnization. Agak2 ok tak kalau buat mcm gamba kt bwh ni? *berangan*

Isn't this lovely? :)

Oh, another thing I forgot to mention is about my wedding invitation cards. They have finished re-printing it. It will be ready by this week. I really hope this time it will be just as what we wanted. I’ll be going back end of this month to collect them. Nervous la. Pray that everything will be OK for me ya. :)

p/s : kemain semangat citer pasal preparation itu ini..kebenaran nikah x dpt lagi..haha.. camana ni? *panic*

Still Smiling

Hye lovelies. :) I’m back. Miss me? Haha. So, I am here today because I just don’t have the drive to do anything but waste time. I don’t know why. I have tonnes to do but still, here I am. What are we gonna talk about today? Hmm. Let’s see. How about a quick update on my trip back to KL last week?

As you all know, I was back in KL to settle some wedding stuffs. In short, I managed to do what I planned to except collect the invitation cards. Why? They forgot to print the doa at the back of the card. My Darling refused to accept them as they all looked so plain without the doa. I mean, we are paying for the design that we wanted. Without the doa, it just seems like we are paying more for something less. So, after much negotiation with the owner of the shop, they agreed to re-print the cards. All 350 pcs. :) So ok la kot. Hopefully.

Anyway, I was just updating my wedding folder last weekend and realized that preparation in KL (reception) is almost a 100% OK. Most of the things are already confirmed. Let’s take a look, shall we?

- Wedding Hall (includes food & wedding dais) – booked, deposit paid
- Wedding Outfits (includes shoes, accessories and make-up) – fully paid
- Wedding Favours – ordered, deposit paid
- Wedding Invitation Cards – fully paid (to be collected early April)
- Wedding Photographer – booked, deposit paid
- Wedding Videographer – booked, deposit paid
- Performance/Entertainment – booked, deposit paid
- Best man/Bridesmaid – confirmed *hi sasa*
- Outfits for family (both sides) – done
- Accommodation (in KL) for family (my side) – TBC
- Make-up artist for family (both sides) - TBC
- Bahan2 renjisan - TBD

I think that’s about it. I am not sure if I have missed anything but I think that’s pretty much everything that needs to be taken care of, for now. As for my engagement and solemnization in Penang, there are still quite a few things that need to be done and confirmed. Will probably update you people about that later.

On a completely different note, I’m going back to KL tomorrow with my Darling. I’m not going home on a business trip this time. My Darling is not feeling too well. :( I’m accompanying him to see the specialist in Prince Court Medical Centre. Pray that everything will be well for us ya.

Since I’ll be in KL for the weekend, I have set an appointment with our photographer on Friday. Can’t wait. Hehe. Xtau kenape ttibe eksaitet. I am probably going to the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Putrajaya with my Darling and the Febeles. And then, I am definitely going to see my best friend Elmi and gossip like nobody’s business. Oh ya, we’ll be going to a friend’s wedding on Saturday together. Let’s hope we won’t be bumping into anyone ‘uninteresting’. :D

Another thing really worth mentioning is how I had the best time last Wednesday with the Febeles. We had a small but happening birthday celebration for the February babies – Pejat, Zalina and Hafiz Ngah. Location, Bora Ombak. Best gile. Kudos to Mr. Project Manager (Mr. ke?), Ikzal. You did a good job. :) I'm still smiling after almost a week!

Another thing that has kept my spirits up these days is the fact that I did quite well for my ACD Assessment. *clap* Still waiting for the report to be out though. Tp kalau dh dipuji time kene assess I guess it’s a good sign la kn? Alhamdulillah. Let’s hope my appraisal stays as what has been submitted. And then we can talk business. Hehe. Pray for me peeps. I really need this. :)

Far From Being Easy

Hye everyone! I had the greatest weekend ever in Bintulu. Macam tak percaya kn? But I did. :D I played paintball 2 days in a row. I got shot 4 times, one on the back, one on the side of my body and two on my legs. Some might think that I have absolutely gone crazy to like being shot at. The fact is, I do enjoy being shot at, but not as much as I enjoy shooting at others (sampe my Darling yg satu team dgn aku pun aku tembak. Haha). Best tau tembak orang. Provided you hit who you want to la kn. :D I have the pictures of the wounds I obtained but malas nk upload. As usual. Hehe. Later2 la ye.

Ok. Enough about paintball, last week was my Darling’s birthday. He turned 26 on Friday. I didn’t do much this time except bought him a (really) small chocolate sponge cake and something from Body Shop. That was all I could do given the state I am in right now. I just hope he knows I’ve tried my best to utilize whatever resources I can find in Bintulu. To my Darling, Happy Birthday. Here’s to more great years to come. InsyaAllah. I love you!

I’ll be heading back to KL this Friday for my assessment next week. Wish me luck peeps! I really need to do well. (Matila berharap tp x jgk study.) This trip is gonna be a tiring one. Just like the one I had in December. I’m finishing up some unfinished businesses with regards to my wedding. Here’s a quick list of things I need to do :

1. See Aunty Talha, the tailor in PJ : She’s the one responsible for my outfits for engagement and solemnization. Nak pg fitting la ni.
2. See Abg Man, the tailor in Kajang : He’s the one responsible for our outfits for reception in KL. Ni br nk pg measure.
3. Collect invitation cards from Cahaya Idaman
4. To Jalan TAR : Buy sampin for my Darling (hantaran for tunang), materials for family and bridesmaid *hi sasa*/bestman for reception in KL.
5. To SSF : Buy stuffs for deco hantaran tunang.
6. Stay positive all the time! :D

The reason it’s gonna be a bit crazy is because my Mom and my Darling will only be around until the 9th. So we have two full days (7th and 8th) to do everything. It might seem like an easy target to achieve, but believe me it’s far from being easy. Anyway, wish me luck ya.

p/s : harap2 dpt catch a movie with my Darling nanti..hmm..

True Art

Hye peeps. Firstly sorry for the sudden hiatus mode of this blog (mcm la ada org peduli and perasan kn?). Anyway, here I am practically forcing myself to scribble something down. Forced by who? No one actually. I just felt like I owe it to the blog. Hehe. Let’s do some wedding talk. Here’s to clearing all the ‘sawang’ at my blog. :)
What do you guys think of these?

The reason why I brought up this topic today is because I have not been feeling too good lately. PMS is of course to be blamed (above everything else, as usual). So I called my mom to talk. I always feel a bit better after talking to her, regardless whatever the topic is about. And as of late, it has been about my wedding preparation in Penang and almost nothing else. Anyway, I called and she couldn’t really talk as she was busy surveying henna for my wedding. And that explains why I decided to post some pics of henna today.

I haven’t actually decided on the henna design I’d like for my wedding yet. I have been googling for pictures though. Haven’t found one I really like. Some are way too much, some are too simple, and some just plain creepy. But to tell you the truth, it kinda amazes me how creative (or not) this whole henna art thingy can be. Weird thing is not only Indians and Muslims seem to be obsessed with it. People from different sides of the world and culture are getting henna-ed (if there’s such word) everywhere. Arms, head, back, tummy etc. Contoh nye gamba2 kt bwh ni. I don’t quite understand the motives but I guess that’s true art eh? :)
